Truchard Cabernet Franc 2023

Truchard Vineyards is a long-established, family-owned winery in Napa Valley’s Carneros AVA, renowned for producing balanced, terroir-driven wines that reflect the region’s cool-climate influence. Founded in 1974 by Tony and Jo Ann Truchard, the estate spans over 400 acres, with approximately 280 acres under vine, making it one of the largest contiguous vineyard holdings in Carneros. The vineyards benefit from marine breezes, fog, and diverse soils. Their soils include clay, shale, sandstone, and volcanic ash, ideal for cultivating varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. The Truchard Cabernet Franc 2023 is a classic Napa Valley Cabernet Franc showcasing the freshness and aromatic complexity of the Carneros AVA. Medium-bodied and expressive, it opens with layered aromas of red cherry, blueberry, cassis, and violet, followed by savory notes of cedar, tobacco, baking spice, and cocoa.
