Following the sale of his initial project, Patz and Hall, legendary California Vintner Donald Patz embarked on a new venture. In collaboration with Jung Min Lee, his real-life partner, they set out to create a formidable Napa Valley Cabernet. This second label from Secret Door Winery, a labor of love for Jung, stands as a testament to their dedication. It boasts a glorious richness without veering into sweetness or heaviness. Exhibiting an aromatic profile, the cabernet presents a medley of blueberries, black cherries, alongside fresh herbs and fragrant blooms. A subtle infusion of spice and sweet vanilla adds an elegant touch. The wine showcases ripe, fine-grained tannins, a firm texture, and a bright acidity.
