This classic white Burgundy from the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet opens with lifted aromas of honeysuckle, acacia, and verbena layered with hazelnut, toasted brioche, and a whisper of flint. The palate is broad and textured yet beautifully balanced—silky and ripe with notes of grapefruit, apricot, and smoked almond, giving way to a lingering, buttery finish. Traditional barrel fermentation (20–25% new oak) and 15+ months of aging add richness without overwhelming the wine’s innate minerality and freshness.

93 James Suckling – “I like the smoky and spicy undertones to this chardonnay. It leads with notes of toasted bread, apricot, grapefruit, honey and smoked almond, following through to a full-bodied, buttery and flavorful palate.”
90 Wilfred Wong – “The 2022 Roux Pere & Fils Chassagne-Montrachet is heavy and rich from the start to the finish. Pair its aromas and flavors of creamy butterscotch, celery leaves, and toasty oak with grilled chicken thighs.”
Pair it with: Roasted chicken, seared scallops, or mushroom risotto.
