The Raphet family, with a winemaking legacy spanning four generations, is based in Morey-Saint-Denis and owns vineyards in some of the most prestigious Grand Cru sites in the Côtes de Nuits, including Chambertin and Clos de la Roche. The family controls 30 acres (12 hectares) of vineyards, many with vines over 100 years old. Currently, Gérard Raphet leads the estate, taking over in 2002 after his father Jean stepped down, though Gérard had managed the vineyards for years prior. He is known for producing classic, elegant red Burgundy wines, aged in oak barrels and bottled unfiltered.
