Gérard & Pierre Morin Sancerre Chêne Marchand 2023 is a single-vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from one of the celebrated sites of Bué, one of Sancerre’s most distinguished wine-growing villages. Chêne Marchand produces a more concentrated, mineral-driven expression of Sancerre, combining the freshness of Sauvignon Blanc with impressive depth and texture.
The Morin family has deep roots in Sancerre, with Gérard and his son Pierre producing small quantities of terroir-focused wines from their estate in Bué. Pierre represents the next generation of the domaine and brings experience gained outside Sancerre, including time at Burgundy’s Domaine Dujac.
The 2023 Chêne Marchand is 100% Sauvignon Blanc, showing bright citrus, green apple and orchard fruit alongside pronounced stony minerality. The palate is dry and energetic, with vibrant acidity, impressive concentration and a long, mineral-driven finish. This is a serious, site-specific Sancerre that offers considerably more depth than a typical regional bottling.
