Domaine Roux Père et Fils is a well-established family estate based in Saint-Aubin, in the southern Côte de Beaune, with vineyards spanning some of Burgundy's most celebrated appellations. Founded in 1885 and now in its fifth generation, the domaine has built a reputation for producing honest, terroir-driven Burgundy across a wide range of villages and Premier Cru sites, offering some of the finest value in the region. Their holdings in Aloxe-Corton — one of the Côte de Beaune's most storied communes, home to the legendary Corton Grand Cru — include the Premier Cru lieu-dit Les Valozières, a well-exposed site whose limestone and clay soils produce Pinot Noir of genuine depth and structure.
The Les Valozières Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru is a wine of classic Burgundian character — structured and age-worthy, with the earthy depth and mineral complexity that define the best wines of this appellation. Bright ruby with garnet hints, the nose is expressive and layered: ripe red cherry, blackberry, and dried violet intertwined with earthy notes of forest floor, leather, and a hint of spice from careful oak aging. On the palate, the wine is medium-to-full-bodied with firm, well-integrated tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish that speaks clearly to the limestone soils of Aloxe-Corton.
The Domaine Roux Les Valozières Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru is exceptional alongside roasted duck, braised lamb, mushroom-based dishes, or a selection of aged Burgundian cheeses — a Premier Cru Burgundy of genuine pedigree and excellent value.
