Château Musar 'Musar Jeune' Rosé 2022 is a dry, elegant rosé that pairs wonderfully with food. With a smooth, rounded profile, it offers aromas of raspberry, almond, and red apple skin, complemented by a warm, lingering finish.
This wine is crafted from a blend of 85% Cinsault and 15% Mourvèdre, grown at 1,000 meters above sea level in the Bekaa Valley, where the cooler climate preserves the freshness of the fruit. The grapes undergo the traditional ‘saignée’ method, with pink juice extracted from the must and fermented in cement-lined vats, avoiding any oak aging to highlight the purity of the fruit.
Musar Jeune Rosé is perfect when served chilled (12°C) and pairs beautifully with baked salmon, shellfish, roast pork, or tomato-based pasta dishes.
Since 2006, Musar Jeune Rosé has been made from younger, low-yielding vines in the Bekaa Valley and Byblos region, where calcareous soils contribute to the wine's character. The 2022 vintage is a blend of 80% Cinsault from younger vines planted in 2018 and 20% Mourvèdre from vines around 10 years old. The wine is fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel, with the final product offering delicate aromas of orange blossom, red cherry, and raspberry. On the palate, it is fresh and youthful, with flavors of peaches, mandarin, and subtle notes of Lebanese sumac, alongside juicy red fruits that evolve as the wine opens up.
