Nestled in the hills of Gaiole in Chianti, Castello di Ama has been producing world-class wines since 1976. The 2022 Chianti Classico is a pure, vibrant expression of Sangiovese. Sourced from vineyards at altitudes of about 450–520 m (1,500–1,720 ft) on clay-calcareous soils, the wine is a blend of 96% Sangiovese and 4% Merlot, vinified with precision to reflect the estate’s terroir.

On the nose you’ll encounter bright cherry, red currant and wild berries, complemented by violet blossom, subtle spice and crushed herb undertones. The palate shows juicy, fresh red fruit framed by lively acidity and polished, fine tannins, with a mineral-driven core and a long, poised finish.  The 2022 Castello di Ama Chianti Classico is a refined Tuscan red wine, offering vibrant fruit, silky tannins, and the structure to evolve beautifully over time.
