Ashes & Diamonds Wine Tasting

A love letter to Napa as it was in the 1960s, Ashes & Diamonds is the vision of founder Kashy Khaledi, a former creative director at Capitol Records and Live Nation who turned his passion for old-school California wines into a winery unlike any other along Highway 29. Named for the 1958 Polish film that reshaped his life, the estate pairs a striking mid-century modern tasting room with a philosophy of minimal intervention and transparency of terroir. The wines are crafted by an exceptional trio: Steve Matthiasson, a biodynamic farming pioneer; Diana Snowden Seysses, who splits her time between Napa and Burgundy; and sparkling wine innovator Michael Cruse. Together, they produce wines that are lower in alcohol, restrained in oak, and deeply expressive of place. Consider this a pointed and joyful counterpoint to the blockbuster Napa style.
