Fogliati Langhe Nebbiolo 2020

The Langhe Nebbiolo originates from a small parcel within the Pugnane cru in Castiglione Falletto, positioned in the southwest Barolo area. Known for its clay and white marl-rich soils, the vineyard is ideal for producing a Nebbiolo that balances freshness with a firm structure. Aged for nine months in large oak barrels, this Nebbiolo has a taut, mineral quality, offering both depth and delicacy. It showcases a refined sweetness and finesse, making it a versatile choice for pairing with meals or enjoying as an aperitif.

Fogliati is a fresh face in Langa’s wine scene, yet it carries over a century of family vineyard history in the prized areas of Bussia di Monforte and Pugnane di Castiglione Falletto. Previously managed by renowned Barolo producers, the family’s vineyards found new life in 2010 when Annalisa and Guido, two determined grandchildren, took the reins. They focused on revitalizing the 70-year-old vines, crafting small batches of Nebbiolo and Barolo to give these vines a distinct identity. Guided by tradition and meticulous care, they produce refined, aromatic wines that embody the terroir with elegance and balanced tannins—a remarkable new discovery.
