Composition: 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre
From old vines of over 40 years on average aging in concrete vats from 12 to 18 months. This Rasteau has a cherry red color with ruby reflections. The wine is limpid and brilliant.
Upon opening, the fruity aromas dominate, reminiscent of wild blackberries, candied cherries and crushed strawberries. After aeration, complexity is expressed and sweet spices take over, combining scents of garrigue, black olives and cocoa bean. The palate is full and generous. The tannins are present but do not dominate the whole, they do not weigh down the wine. A great success for this vintage. If you decide to open it today, decanting will allow you to fully enjoy its aromatic palette; otherwise, it will keep for 3 to 6 years. Goes perfectly with gamey, marinated meats.
